Why “Kings Path?”
Wealth brings the opportunity to travel an exciting path around personal growth, family values, and community impact. We are joining clients on their wealth journeys to help guide them to their chosen destinations.
The inspiration for our name comes from the following sources.
El Caminito Del Rey
In Malaga, Spain, El Caminito Del Rey (“The King’s Little Path”) is pinned along the steep walls of a narrow and beautiful gorge. This pathway was once known as “the world’s most dangerous walkway.” It was built in 1921 by King Alfonso XIII. Over the years, the path fell into disrepair, and several people died trying to traverse it (the pathway has since been renovated to make it safer).
We find this pathway analogous to wealth. While wealth can provide wonderful benefits and opportunities, without wise guidance, this “pathway” can be quite treacherous. Our role is to help you avoid the dangers you may encounter.
The Old Kings Path
Similarly, along the scenic fjords of Filefjell, Norway lies the Kongevegen (“The King’s Road”) which legend holds provided a way of refuge for King Sverre Sigurdsson after a bloody battle with marauders in the 12th century. It was by this path that he was able to lead his army to safety.
With wealth comes challenges. There are times when you will need to find peace and refuge. We are here for that very reason. We help our clients through those difficult times, whether that be rough markets or difficult life situations.
Biblical Stewardship
Finally, the Bible speaks deeply about money and wealth, and offers significant wisdom regarding stewardship, discipline, productivity, and giving. There are accounts of great wealth immediately followed by poor stewardship and loss. Sadly, this happens too often today as well. But there are also words of encouragement and guidance that offer a source of strength as we navigate inevitable challenges.
